i've been preoccupied with many, many things and neither blogging nor drawing have been priorities in my life. but i recently stumbled across the sketchbook pages of robert frank hunter and i wanted to share them with you guys because i find them really inspirational!
i actually put all my sketchbooks away in boxes and stored them in my junk cupboard, because i'm going away on exchange to beijing for a year and i didn't think i'd be carrying them with me. but i'm going to have to dig a few of those out again :) |

from my paint/colour sketchbook
recently i've been trying to curb my anything-less-than-perfectly-stiff-line phobia, and have even tackled blind contour drawings, which I used to detest. most of these are quite old, 2009-ish or thereabouts.

psychotic i know, but i'm back at livejournal, because i got tired of blogger's ugly templates and dashboard. discovered a stack of unfinished canvases while i was cleaning out my room, and decided to repaint them from scratch.
here's what I'm working on at the moment - three panels inspired by korean choson dynasty artworks, such as the '10 symbols of longevity'.
